First I need to apologize for the picture quality of my first posts. My camera recently broke on me, so until I can afford to buy a new one (hopefully soon!) my low quality webcam will have to suffice.
I really liked my outfit today, I usually save this top for going out to dinner or something of the sorts, but today I just wore it for my usual daily activities. I've been trying to wear pieces of clothing in my closet that usually don't get much use more often. Mixing more "formal" pieces with casual ones helps you to get a lot more use out of things you may already have in your closet and also stretches out your everyday wardrobe.
I bought this scarf a while back but when I bought it it had this weird ugly string fringe on it that I hated and because of it I almost never wore the scarf. One day I decided to cut the ugly string off the scarf and actually be able to wear it - ever since I did that I've gotten SO much use out of it. I kept the fringe thing in one piece that I can potentially still wear as an infinity scarf type thing... we'll see!
I didn't really notice until now how many ruffles I'm actually wearing today, but I think it works because of how different they are. The top I'm wearing is made out of a soft jersey material while the ruffles on the cardigan are obviously much smaller and made out of a rougher sheer material. This cardigan is actually crewcuts (jcrew's kids line) and I didn't realize until I was paying that I was buying a childrens item. Obviously it didn't change my decision on whether I should buy it or not, its just my own little secret when I wear it.
